CCOP / CAC
Building on the Past
Consolidating the Future .
As we stand on the threshold of a new millenium, Cameroon and its
people are faced with a difficult choice. We can either wallow in our
current economic woes and quagmire, or look at the opportunities that
abound in our beloved country with a view to making our nation one of
the best on the surface of the earth.
The Cameroon Contract Organization Project / Contract Award Committee,
ccop / CAC, sees only opportunities ahead and hope in the future.
Opportunities which will certainly make Cameroon work for Cameroonians.
Since nobody will do it for us, and given that no one understands
Cameroon like its own people who call it home, it is imperative
therefore that we, as a people, get to work now and seriously too. Like
the CCOP / CAC, an organisation whose objective is to mobilise global
efforts in order to revitalise economic growth in Cameroon, we must as,
a united nation, create a Cameroonian dream; a dream that will make our
children proud and our country great.
The CCOP / CAC understands Cameroon's needs, its desires, aspirations
and hopes. In this light, CCOP / CAC seeks to provide a better forum
wherein appropariate and timely solutions to Cameroon's economic and
political woes can be found with a view to creating a great,
sustainable and better life for all Cameroonians. CCOP / CAC does this
by sharing its vision, wisdom and expertise with all Cameroonians, and
by urging greater efforts and sacrifice, on the part of Government
officials, Cameroon's Friends and Partners, other non-governmental
organisations and experts. Everyone with his/her own little
contribution.
CCOP / CAC holds that everybody's contribution will, certainly, go a
long way in leading Cameroonians to that great country they all are
aspiring to attain. As individuals, we may not be able to achieve our
noble goals, but as a strong and united people endowed with human and
natural resources, we can do the difficult today, and the impossible
tomorrow. We can only usher in a new Cameroon, if we join forces and
define our national objectives and come up with clear strategies on how
to achieve our common goals. No great nation was born out of inaction
and disunity. We have to draw on the experiences of others who are,
today, great success stories.
