Advisory Committee
Terms of Reference
The Cameroon Contract Organization Projetc / Contract Award Committee,
Advisory Group consists of persons who have distinguished themselves in
the fields of Economics and Development. The group represents a
cross-section of Cameroonian expertise in a variety of disciplines. The
group potrays significant experience in the design and management of
donor-funded development, capacity-building, and research activities.
The functions of the Advisory Group is as follows:
1. serve as source of advice and guidance to the CCOP/CAC staff and partners;
2. contribute to the program's outreach efforts;
3. facilitate linkages with a wider audience of influential
policy-makers, researchers and development leaders working on issues
relevant to Cameroon's development;
4. contribute to quality control of the results produced by CCOP / CAC.
The Advisory Group will meet once in two months or as needed
alternatively in Cameroon, though with electronic communications it may
become more feasible not have to travel for every meeting. This group
does not have direct management authority over the use of CCOP / CAC
funds. The CCOP / CAC Conference Convenor serves as the secretariat to
the Advisory Group. S/he prepares the documentation, the agenda of the
meetings to be approved by the SWC Management team. The CCOP/CAC
Conference Convenor makes all the arrangements for the meetings, and
reports to the CCOP / CAC Director on the outcome of the meetings. All
the costs related to the Advisory Group will be covered by the CCOP /
CAC.
